In times of conflict or peace, the Royal Navy is key to the prosperity of the United Kingdom and the stability of the high seas. All new recruits are to be offered the opportunity to commence an appropriate apprenticeship at a minimum of level 2, where a suitable standard exists or can be developed and is a viable way of delivering training.
Ambassadors undertake their role (on a voluntary basis) by supporting and influencing a wide range of key stakeholders including schools, colleges, employers and their supply chains, trade associations and employment bodies. They champion and support marketing, publicity and events to raise awareness of apprenticeships and also mentor other employers.
The SEAAN is one of nine similar networks across the country. There are also Young Apprenticeship Ambassador Networks (YAAN) attached to each AAN to promote Apprenticeships to young people. The YAAN in the South East is well established.

Aphasia Support is growing charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with Aphasia and their carers. We provide tailored speech and language therapy and long-term support to individuals who have experienced the devastating impact of a stroke or head injury, affecting their ability to speak, read, write or understand language. Our charity delivers both one-to-one and group-based support services free of charge, thanks to the kindness and generosity we receive from our incredible community. Over the past year, we have proudly supported 225 people with Aphasia - improving wellbeing and independence through computer therapy, supported conversation and community-centred rehabilitation.
