Aphasia affects over 350,000 people in the UK and usually occurs after a stroke, impacting a person’s ability to speak, write, read, and understand language. Yorkshire charity, Aphasia Support, helps those living with aphasia, and other communication conditions, to work on key communication goals with the support of speech and language therapists to improve outcomes and wellbeing. The West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards are delighted to be hosting Aphasia Support as their charity partner.
