
‘I started my career as a Data Science Degree Apprenticeship with Fortrea (Labcorp) where I spent time getting to know the clinical trial world whilst analysing the data. Following this I joined Santander as a Data Analyst, and then a Procurement Analyst (SCP). I am also the Co-Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network as an advocator for the importance of utilising apprenticeships to fill our skill gaps.’

Keira is the first People Development Manager at URM and has been passionate about the place that training and apprenticeships have in a business. With over 8 years’ experience in the recycling industry, she uses her extensive knowledge to spot potential and develop pathways for individuals to create a skilled and dedicated team.
She ensures that she is always leading by example, therefore is an avid learner, having completed her CIPD Level 5 in Learning and Development and PGCert in Business Administration in the past 3 years, further extending her skills to drive growth and success.
Keira is committed to the People of URM, always looking at new initiatives, to improve welfare and the business, and prides herself on her forward and logical thinking, keen eye for detail and relationship building. She has been instrumental in changing the learning culture at URM and is excited for what is in store next.

Ellie Jobes is Group People Director at Bagnalls, the national painting contractor established in 1875. The business has employed apprentices since 1877, with around 100 apprentices currently on programme. Ellie has worked at Bagnalls for 14 years. She is responsible for the People Strategy at Bagnalls which includes early careers programmes. Bagnalls was named in the Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2025 and won the Large Business Apprenticeship Employer category at the Apprenticeship and Training Awards 2025. Bagnalls also holds a Princess Royal Training Award for its apprenticeship programme. Ellie is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD, a Chartered Director and a Chartered Member of IOSH

She has a deep understanding of the evolving skills and education landscape and the strategic role early talent plays in organisational success.
