In the North, by March 2024 our York depot will become the first outside London to be fully electric. At the same time our Bramley depot on the outskirts of Leeds will be transformed with electric charging and a third of its fleet will be zero emission buses. This transformation of our business in the North region over the next 12 months has been made possible
by successful working partnerships with local authorities to secure government funding together with multi-million pound investment by First Bus. This builds on our capabilities to operate electric fleets in both cities over a number of years and supports the national strategy of First Bus to be zero-carbon by 2035.
