Skills Bootcamps offer flexible, sector-specific courses for adults 19+, helping them upskill, gain promotions, or grow businesses. Our courses are fully funded for unemployed learners, with grants covering 70 - 90% of employer course fees. Delivered by local providers, Skills Bootcamps support workforce development and regional growth through lifelong learning.
The Northern Net Zero Accelerator (NNZA), funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, is a pioneering programme committed to decarbonising the North East, Teesside, and Humber regions. Leveraging a unique quadruple helix model that unites government, academia, industry, and the public, the NNZA will tackle industrial carbon emissions with a focus on Low Carbon Energy Generation, Energy Storage and Distribution, and Integration into End-Use Sectors. In partnership with Newcastle University, Northumbria University, Durham University, the University of Sunderland, Teesside University, and the University of Hull, the NNZA will drive net zero innovation, foster economic growth, enhance STEM skills, and advance sustainability, to create a just transition towards a decarbonised regional economy.
