Sheffield City Council recognises the contribution that our city can make to the future of our planet.
We have declared a climate emergency and are working towards Sheffield becoming a zero-carbon city by the start of the next decade.
To achieve this, we’re taking action as a Council and working with partners to effect wider change.
We’ve seen keen engagement from Sheffield’s businesses around sustainability, and are proud to see the imagination and commitment that they bring to this effort.

Sheffield Girls’ Infant, Junior and Senior School is the leading independent school for girls aged 4-18 in Yorkshire.
Since we opened our doors in 1878, we have been empowering girls to take on the world. Our approach has always been forward-thinking and from the outset, we didn’t teach girls to know their place, we taught them to find it.
Our dedication to preparing girls for their future has been our priority since the beginning and, as we move towards our 150th year, our priority remains unchanged.
